About the Opportunity

Are you a dynamic communicator with a flair for writing and an eye for social media? We’re looking for a Marketing and Communications Assistant to join our team for the 2025 Winter semester.  This role is ideal for a self-starter with solid organizational skills and a passion for crafting engaging content.

Your Role & Responsibilities:

• Content Creation: Write and proofread web content, social media posts, and support campaign messaging
• Campaign and project support: Assist our marketing team on exciting campaigns and, when ready, take the lead on select projects.
• Marketing Support: Help brainstorm content ideas, contribute to the editorial calendar, and develop media pitches.

• Community Engagement: Represent our credit union at events throughout the summer.
• Additional Projects: Take on new tasks as needed to support our team’s goals

About You

Who You Are:

You’re a full-time student pursuing a certificate, diploma, or degree in journalism, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.  You also bring:

• Clear and engaging communication skills
• Strong interpersonal abilities
• Proficiency in Office365 and social media platforms
• Basic understanding of marketing principles
• Exceptional organization and time management
• A proactive mindset and professionalism

• Skilled at identifying and prioritizing tasks to achieve goals effectively
• Brings a cooperative spirit to team projects
